adobe classes in SF

Ilana Thu, December 7, 2006 - 11:24 AM by Ilana

I am starting to study graphic design - one class at at time while working full time (primarily non-graphics job). I'd like to take some 1 or 2 day classes to learn the Adobe graphics software. Looks like there are several places offering classes in San Francisco in each of the applications. Does anyone have thoughts on which of these places offers the best (beginner) classes?
Thanks!!
Ilana

City College is cheap and excellent.

sorry, i missed that 1-2 day part...

you might be better off finding a tutor, or just studying one of the QuickStart books.

cool, thanks. turns out a friend works for a computer training company so I may get hooked up.
Question 2 now: they teach on PCs and I am planning to get a Mac this month. Is it OK to learn the programs on a PC? are they close enough so I'll have no problem understanding how to use them on a Mac?

With the exception of the command key / control key discrepancy, you'll be fine.

hi! take a look at bavc's classes: www.bavc.org/catalog/default.php

i work at bavc.. i'm actually the one who schedules these classes, so i know a bit about them! i'm also the person who sees all of our students' evaluatios of our classes, and i can say that our instructors get *excellent* reviews. pm me if you have any specific questions, or, better yet, call one of our enrollment counselors at 415.558.2126. god, i sound like a bavc commercial! but we really do have great classes.
