Minimalist Flatware,complete set
So I finally got the knife design down and added to the bunch. I've been using these for almost a month and feel the weight imbalance with the long tapering handle is NOT as much of an issue as I first thought. It's not to say these are perfect by any means ,but the whole point was to design a relatively aesthetic and serviceable set in the Minimalist Style that would be easy to manufacture with current laser cutting.
So,I'm willing to make the compromise of the not-so-perfect balance in favor of retaining the clean lines and relatively ease and effort of manufacturing.
By the way these are all in 304 stainless steel.
The spoons and fork are all 12ga.
The knife is 10ga.thick,and VERY sharp.
The notch on the top edge of the knife is for the index finger when cutting meat,or anything else that requires some increase in leverage.
