Sorry Ykk didn't mean any disrespect. I just had never heard of what you were talking about.
Welcome to this Tribe. Thank you for bringing this topic up. After checking out the site, this furniture style reminds me of the stuff that was going on in the 30's in Berlin (bauhaus anyone).
I've always had a softspot for this style.
So Ykk what brings up the subject in you. Do you work in this style, just a fan? -
-
i would like this kind of furniture and posted here for those who are intresting in this...
Sile...How did u know this is a 30's Berlin(bauhaus) design...?

Having had a keen interest in this type of furniture for a long time.
Do a google image search for Bauhaus and you'll see several examples -

There is much to <3 about that style and that movement of design

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.None of the above. I'm an Art Director in a post production company. I work in a bunch of areas. From graphic design, web design and implimentation to photography and motion graphics.
I'm not sure what your saying about pottery barn. I haven't been in one of those stories in 15 years.
What about you, what gets your creative juices flowing?

I have a dining room set by them. It's modern but could go with a lot of things that aren't. Mine is an older set that is iron and distressed wood. It's great. I had to assemble it--came as a kit. The materials are good, so if you are handy with a Allen wrench, your furniture will last a long time. You can see some other stuff (you probably have) at www.sitcomfurniture.com/

I have lots of experience with Sitcom furniture. Their products are extremely unfriendly to the environment. One small table or chair makes one large bag of styrofoam waste. One large Sitcom dresser or sofa makes three bags of styrofoam waste. Also most of their products are laminates which off-gas for years. Also, they have never demonstrated to me that their mahogany products from Indonesia use mahogany that's plantation grown in a sustainable way. I wouldn't recommend Sitcom.
